Ojai Valley Inn, Ojai, CA
This project included work at the Oak Grill Terrace, remodeling of the Tennis Center, and construction of The Spa at the Ojai Valley Inn. Tasks included remodeling the main entrance and drop off area which required scheduling around the daily activities of an active resort. The assignment required sensitivity to preserving trees and local flavor. All projects were completed using the same theme as Wallace Neff’s original design for the Inn. Construction of the spa faced significant site constraints from a creek, one fairway, and oak trees. |

Ventura Auto Center/Crown Dodge, Ventura, CA
A new car dealership ($8 million) for Crown Dodge, designed from an empty plot of land. Jensen Design & Survey, Inc. provided engineering design, improvement plans, design survey, and engineering assistance during construction. A major challenge was maintaining stormwater quality, which was addressed using new treatment facilities and received favorable feedback from the City. Typical stormwater contaminants generated by asphalt surfaces and vehicle fluids from car washing and repair bays are treated using bio-filtration systems located in the parkway. |
